Why a competitor opened a shop

In 2019 there was nowhere in the UK to buy the parts a serious precision rifle shooter needed without importing them yourself, and nobody behind a counter who had actually run them through a match. Josh had just won the national league. He opened C2 in Bude to be that counter.

The shop stocks what he competes with. Zermatt, Defiance and Impact actions. MasterPiece Arms and Foundation chassis. Zero Compromise glass. Alpha brass, Bix'n Andy and TriggerTech triggers, Wiebad bags, Henderson trimmers. If a product is on the shelf it is because it has survived a season in his hands or in the hands of someone he trusts.

What that means when you walk in

You are talking to someone who has zeroed on a wet hillside in Wales, chased a moving target in Texas, and stood on a podium in France. He has made every mistake you are about to make and can tell you which ones matter. That applies whether you are buying a first .22 for the back field or speccing a £6,000 competition rifle.

He also hunts, reloads his own match ammunition, and builds rifles in the workshop behind the shop. Ask about any of it. He likes talking about it more than he likes talking about invoices.

The competition side

Josh shoots the UK series, travels to the US and Europe for the big matches, and captains the MasterPiece Arms UK team. When the shop is closed on a Tuesday or Thursday there is a fair chance he is on a range somewhere with a spotting scope and a DOPE card.
